Poimena Disc Golf Course is located at Poimena Reserve, Austins Ferry, Tasmania. This is an Advanced level course with 18 permanent baskets and dual tees offers player 36 challening holes of disc golf. The course wraps around a steep hill, not only creating some exciting disc golf action, but also providing visitors with amazing views of the River Derwent. One of the old courses in Australia and orginally designed and installed by one of the sports stewards in Leigh Bird, Poimena Disc Golf Course remains a must play course for any disc golfer.

Hobart Disc Golf Club

Poimena Reserve Disc Golf Course is the oldest basket course in Australia, established in 1985. The course is located in Austins Ferry, a quiet suburb 10km north of Hobart in Tasmania. The course is operated by Glenorchy City Council with the support of local volunteers. This is an 18-hole course, spread over approximately 40 acres of Poimena Reserve in Austins Ferry.
